Yes, it sounds a bit tacky for a professional services firm (at least it took me some getting used to) but we simply couldn’t deny the testimonials from other practices we contact who had utilised the services of Shop-a-Docket around tax time. As nobody else in the area appeared to be taking advantage, we were keen to secure the major local stores early. We booked in consecutive campaigns to run until mid-October and have been anxiously waiting the months until our campaign began.
From July 14, we’ll be advertising tax returns on the backs of the dockets from Coles at San Remo, Coles at Lake Haven and K-Mart at Lake Haven. These dockets will also be available from www.hotdockets.com.au.
I’ll be interested to review the results of this particular marketing effort. Unlike less quantifiable media (such as word of mouth or even directory listigs), the return on investment (ROI) should be simple to measure.
For the benefit of other small businesses who may be considering the merits of a similiar strategy, I’ll be sure to blog our experience.
