Our newest team member, Paramedic Bear from Careflight, has joined the back office. We’ve named him Mal after one of our paremedic clients.
Paramedic Bear is the latest addition to the Careflight Bear family. Every bear you purchase helps support Careflight and, from a tax perspective, $45.00 of the $59.95 price tag is fully tax deductible.
Now, usually when you are acquire something in return for your donation (pens, raffle tickets, a badge, etc) it is no longer tax deductible. That’s not the case with Careflight Bears due to the fact that the clever people at Careflight go to the trouble of itemising your invoice to separate which portion is considered a donation (fully deductible) and which portion pays for bear and postage (not deductible).
