Assistance for those affected by the QLD and NSW floods

disasterIf you have been affected by the floods in South-East Queensland and Northern New South Wales, there is a range of assistance available.

New South Wales financial assistance

There is a range of assistance available from the NSW government including loans of up to $130,000 to small businesses and primary producers. Visit the Office for Emergency Services website or phone 1800 678 593.

Queensland financial assistance

Funding for Queenslanders includes:

  • Emergency Assistance Payments of $165 per person and up to $765 per family (this is not means tested)
  • Essential Household Contents Grants of $1,635 per individual and up to $4,910 per couple or family (means tested)
  • Essential Repairs to Housing Grants of up to $10,100 per individual and up to $13,600 per couple or family (means tested).
